Early Childhood Practitioners to Discuss Quality Services

Early childhood leaders and practitioners from over 80 nations will gather May 9-12, 2017, to discuss the delivery of quality services to young children in diverse settings at the eleventh World Forum on Early Care and Education. This international event will be held at the SKYCITY Auckland Convention Centre Hotel in Auckland, New Zealand.

“For children of the world to have promising futures,” said Roger Neugebauer, Executive Director for the World Forum Foundation, “early childhood programs must meet their needs for optimal growth and development. The goal of the World Forum Event is to promote the improved delivery of services by bringing together early childhood leaders from six continents to explore the hallmarks of quality. Exemplary programs for young

children exist around the world, but there has never been a mechanism for practitioners and specialists to share their ideas. The World Forum Event provides this critical, unique opportunity.”

The primary audience for the World Forum is early childhood professionals working in organizations or settings where services are delivered to young children and their families.

Also in attendance will be early childhood trainers, consultants, NGO leaders, researchers, advocates, and public officials. During this event, presentations will be made by more than 100 early childhood professionals from over 80 nations.

Topics to be addressed during the 2017 World Forum Event include: Children as Peace Builders in Conflict Situations, Children Impacted by HIV/AIDS , Children Living in Children’s Homes, Children’s Rights, Connecting Children with Nature, Curriculum, Indigenous People’s Rights and Issues, Men in ECE, and much more.

The World Forum Foundation, a tax-exempt, nonprofit organization, is the organizer of a variety of international activities in the early childhood arena, including the World Forum on Early Care and Education.

The World Forum on Early Care and Education was first held in 1999 in Honolulu, Hawaii, and then moved to Singapore for 2000.

The gathering was held in Athens, Greece, in 2001; followed by Auckland, New Zealand, in 2002; Acapulco, México, in 2003; Montreal, Canada,

in 2005; Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in 2007; Belfast, Northern Ireland, in 2009; Honolulu, Hawaii, in 2011, and San Juan, Puerto Rico in 2014.

Registration information and continuing updates are available on the World Forum Foundation Website: www.WorldForumFoundation.org
